We have experienced a WILD day of weather here in southcentral Alaska. When most people think what Alaska would be like in January, these are hardly the images that you would see in your mind's eye. But it is exactly what we experienced this afternoon around 4PM.
We woke up to temperatures in the upper 40s and rain. Around 2:30 the clouds started to lift, and then just before sunset this evening, the break in the clouds unveiled a brilliant double rainbow.
Not sure how many rainbows Alaska experiences in January, but there probably hasn't been that many!
